About the Event:

The IGI D3 Boot Camp commenced with three preliminary demo sessions from 25/09/2024 to 27/09/2024, designed to provide participants with an introductory glimpse of the comprehensive training ahead. The official launch of the Boot Camp took place on 28/09/2024, featuring two detailed sessions: "Cryptography: Cracking Codes and Keeping Secrets," delivered by Philipp Beick, Chief Information Security Officer from Germany, and "Honeypot: Luring Cyber Threats into the Open," presented by Abdul Soomro, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science from Malaysia.

Day 2 (29/09/2024) included an array of interactive cybersecurity activities, such as riddles, string decoding in CyberChef, a scavenger hunt, and the "Sea of Phishy Mails," enabling participants to apply their practical knowledge in a gamified environment. This was followed by an insightful session on "Digital Forensics & OSINT" conducted by Rohit Mukherjee, an experienced Incident Responder from Kolkata.

The response to the Boot Camp was overwhelmingly positive, with participants actively engaging in the sessions and games. The high level of enthusiasm and interaction throughout the event underscored the effectiveness of the Boot Camp’s hands-on learning approach, providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The event concluded with a thrilling Capture The Flag (CTF) challenge on 30/09/2024, which allowed attendees to put their skills to the test in a competitive, real-world scenario.
